christmas lights

my parents were here this past 2 days so daddy helped me put up the lights. arent they nice. to bad i have a tiny cold now

butterfly doily

i finished this today. i made it for my aunt anna for christmas. i am gonna frame it so she can hang it on the wall. and let me tell you this thing eerked my nerves bad. i couldnt follow the directions and make it fit right. there was supposed to be 9 pineapples around the top pineapple and i got 6. so i have no clue how it was supposed to work. eventually i threw out the wing i messed up by following the directions and just followed the picture instead. so this is as close as i could get to the original. here is a link. its not a free pattern but here is where you could buy it http://www.maggiescrochet.com/pages/Home/k140_butterfly_doily_2_main.htm

snowflakes

here are the beaded snowflakes i made. it took like 2 or 3 days to do them all. they were ver time consuming. not to mention i would only do them for about an hour or so while i watched the simpsons. they are made with 2 diffrent sizes of wire. they are really pretty. i tried to take a close up but i couldnt get the stinkin focus to work. well i have GOT to finish my butterfly doily today. hopefully i can get it done in a day. if not it will be done tomorrow

jingle bell santas

i did these tonight. they are so messed up. but so cute at the same time. the bottoms are jingle bells. i did the hats. everything else i put the glue on and alexia put the stuff on the glue. i am really enjoying making stuff with her this year. we will have to do these kinds of things more often

Alexias Daddy Blanket

this is the blanket the ASYMCA made for alexia. the program is called operation kid comfort. they make photo transfer quilts for the children with deployed parents. those are pictures of her daddy so when she misses him she can squeeze her blanket. when the lady gave it to her she cried cause she misses him so much. it was so sweet. they have a wonderful program. here is a link to their site. http://www.asymca.org/operation_kid_comfort.htm

raindeer candycane toppers

made these to go with the santa toppers. i am 2 short cause i got the box of 12 candycanes for the santas and used 6 and alexia ate one and then 1 broke. but its ok. they are cute anyway. and lemme tell ya those antlers were a pain in the butt to make. and to try to make them look alike. just awful. i did these last night. and i got the kit from hobby lobby also

candy canes

these are candy cane ornaments alexia and i made. i got crafts she could do with me but i was suprised she did so well. she did 2 red and 2 green. i did all the ribbon though cause she cant tie the red ones and i used sissors for the green ones to get them to curl and she is to little for that too. but i am very proud of her and her ability to follow directions. i got the kit from hobby lobby.

santa candy cane topper

i made these to go with my christmas presents. this year. i am gonna have to get some more little things like this to go too. cause i have 6 angels. i want to make a gift in a jar mix and some other little odds and ensd like these for everyone else. hopefully they will all enjoy them. well i am gonna start my doily today. and i am gonna watch mission impossable III tonight. well see ay latersssss

Santa Shelf Sitter

i finished my santa last night. aint he cute. i forgot to add the puff ball at the end of the hat. but i think i will get a jingle bell for it. and let me tell you that hair was a pain in the a** to put on. cause its one long thing. an dthey kept falling down. it was so annoying. i went through 4 glue sticks on the hair. he is covering a can of soda. he is supposed to cover a cup of rocks but i dont have a cup of rocks so i used a can of root beer. did you know root beer is caffeine free??? well anywho i got the pattern from a book called Holiday Doorstops & Shelf Sitters by Annies Attic. well i am off to do more angels. see ya!!!!

angel 3

so i went to micheals today to get hair for my santa i am working on and found the dolls that i needed so i got 2. so here is my other angel. this one is for my mother in law. jess says her favorite color is turquoise (hope i spelled that right). so i hope she likes it.

here is the 2nd angel i finished. i dont think i am gonna put wings on them. i like them without them. i have another one done but i gotta get more babies to put in them before i can take the picture. but i will when i get the dolls.
