i found a little craft shop here in town that consigns crafts and so i brought in alot of my stuff and she loved it and put it in her store. that was like 2 weeks ago. and since then i sold the blue and verigated lapghan. i made another one yesterday. they only take 2 days to make. heres the picture of that one. also she said i can cchange out my items whenever i want to so i have been making thanksgiving things too. here is a CD hotpad i made 2 of these

i am now making graphed afghans. i taught myself. its not hard at all and i actually make them faster then regular patterns. cause every row is diffrent it keeps me intrested. well the iraq one is my first.
love-a-lot bear was second. i asked my daughter what to make she said the pink care bear so there you go.

i made alexia a new shirt. its from a book called sommer crochet. its made with cotton yarn and i made the straps to long but its still cute. there is a hat to match but either i used the wrong hook or my babys head is really larg cause it no where near fits. it still turned out nice though i think

well he got home last tuesday but i am finally posting this. been so busy ya know but his plane got here at 11:10 am. thats his plane comming in. i had to squeeze between all of the people to get this picture by the way. but then they all filed off the plane and into formation.then after they all got off the plane they marched into the buildingthat is one of the best things ever to see. i love seeing any military marching. its the foundation of our country if you ask me. but then they were all formed up inside this little room then we had to listen to the national anthem and the army song and stuff and a guy talk which was the shortest speech ever thank goodness. cause i couldnt tell you what he said. thats him in the middle of the picture by the way. but then they were released and we fought threw the crowd and found eachother and thats all the good stuff then he went to the company and turned in his weapons and stuff and we came home. the end LOL. well just wanted to share. see ya

thats right folks i am at it again. i made alexia a shirt. she is having a fall festival on friday and the kids are supposed to wear orange but no costumes or nothing. and it is all fall themed not halloween themed. however alexia didnt have anything orange so i asked her if she wanted me to buy her a shirt or make her a shirt. and her being 4 she wanted me to make it. so i whiped this up. total cost was about 7 bucks so its about as much as a store bought shirt. and she loves the fact i made it. she said its very plain so after the festival i might put an iron-on on the front or something. but i am glad it turned out so good. this is the first time i made something with no pattern. anywho i am gonna finish going nuts now. my hubby comes home tomorrow!!! i am so excited!!!!

well it has bees a little over a week and i dont have clear skin yet. it is a bit better. and when i say that i mean a tiny bit better. but the box does say to give it a month. so in 3 more weeks i should be good to go. oh and by the way my hubby comes home tuesday. so there is another soldier safely returning from iraq. it seems you hear more about about the ones that dont sometimes. but we are very excited. and i am finishing up a shirt for lex too. its sewn. and i would be done already but i cant find the button holer thing for the sewing machine. well talk to yall later.

i have acne!!! yep at 26 years old my face refuses to clear up. i never had any issues till i was grown. apparently its from my depo shot but we arent giving that up so i gotta think of something. so i finally caved in and bought some proactive. ya know the stuff on the infomercials at 2 in the morning. well it arived today

and lemme tell you these are the smallest thingies ever. how it will last for a whole month i have no clue. but we will see. i gotta use it every morning and night. oh and there are the before and after pictures in the book too so i took a before picture so yall can see for yourself if its working or not. i will try to remember to post every friday (yes i know today is thursday) hopefully i will if not i will post them whenever i remember. i will be the REAL informercial!!!!

tonight i watch Georgia Rule. now i read the critiques thoughts and they weren't to impressed with it. however i really liked the movie. i thought it was gonna be about a power struggle between a grand ma and grand daughter who are exactly alike and a mom to passive to say anything. however it is about molestation and telling the truth. its like a boy who cried wolf story....kinda. but in the end i really wanted to cry. i didn't!!!! but i wanted to. i enjoyed it alot. but don't know if i will buy it or not. i give it 4 outta 5 stars. oh yeah and this is the movie that Lindsy was "to exhausted" to go to work on. and she got that letter from the producer saying shes needs to stop partying cause shes waisting their time and money. that was the start of her big problems. oh well off to bed for me. 2 weeks and 5 days till my man is home for good!!! I'm so excited

i made this doily for an exchange in at my house. i made it black cause its halloweenish. i have never seen orange thread before so black it is. its from a book called star doilies book no. 87. this one is the spider web doily. there are alot more rounds to it but i cut sone out of the middle and some off the edging. but it still looks good. not like a spider web but still good. right now i am making dounut pincushions for the quilt-a-thon nov 10th at work. in support of operation kid comfort. i will take pictures as soon as i can get some pins in them. see ya!!!

ok yesterday i watched pan's labyrinth. lemme start by letting you all know......... this movie is in spanish!!!!! it has subtitles. i was soooo eerked when i found that out. they coulda said something on the commercial or something. i was all set to watch this and fold clothes but i couldnt cause i had to read the movie. but this movie is about a little girl whos mom marries a very evil military man. they are on a mountian and there are good guys living there and he is trying to kill them all. she (ofelia) hates this place and her pregnant mother falls very sick. she then finds out she is a princess but in order to return to her world she must compleate 3 tasks. her first task is to save a special tree by crawling in there and putting some stones in a frogs mouth and bringing back the key. she does this but destroys the dress her mother made her. she then helps make her mother better by putting mandrake root under her bed. next her 2nd task was to draw a door and go threw it and do what the faries tell her and not eat anything. well she did what the faires said and she got a dagger from a little door but she ate 2 grapes waking up this baby eating monster and then her door closed so she drew another and got away. however she broke the rules and was told she can never return to her kingdom. then she was going to feed the mandrake root (2 drops of blood a day) and was found by the captian (her new step dad) and her mom got mad and trew the mandrake root in the fire thus killing it. in return she instantly went into labor and died. but had a healthy baby boy. the house keeper lad is the sister to one of the good soldiers living in the woods and decided to go live with them. and was gonna take ofelia with her. but they got caught. ofelia was locked in her room and the housekeeper was about to be torchered. but she kept a knif in her dress just in case so was able to cut her self free and hurt the captian pretty bad and get away. but was surrounded and then the good guys shot all but one of the bad guys. the bad guy went and told the captian there are more good guys and they are outnumbered. all the while ofelia is in her room when she is given another chance to becom a princess. all she has to do is draw a door and get her baby brother and go into the labrynth. she does it and drugs the captians drink in the process. he catches her before she can leave but due to the drugs she has a chance. so he is chacing her trying to get the baby. she gets to the laberynth and is told she has to cut her brother to shed innocent blood on the portial for it to open and she will not do it. so she is left in the laberynth to never be a princess. he father catches her and takes the baby. she tell him to give her the baby and he shoots her too. when he leaves the laberynth he is surrounded by all the good guys and the house keeper he hands over the baby and they kill him. then you fine out the real final task was to sacrifice herself to save an innocent. and she did so she did become a princess. the end.

it was a good movie but i doubt i will ever watch it again. i am not a fan of subtitles. i give it a 3 outta 5 stars

busy me

OK i haven't posted in forever but i am still working on my afghan for Lexi. i should have the second strip done tomorrow. but before work Wednesday i went to the thrift store and got these for a total of 10 dollars

there is a sweater for Lexi, a bag full of beads and 4 orange plastic canvas yarns. i also got Alexia a doll house with a dog and clothes and shoes and all this neat stuff but she snatched it and hasn't let go so its not in the picture. but over all it was a good buy in my opinion. i also got her Halloween costume. shes a cat this year. here is part of it. i will take a better picture later.

THIS MOVIE ROCKS!!! i absolutly love it. it was so funny. sooooo funny. i am a fan of will farel though. alexia didnt want to watch it. i guess it was over her head. but i recomend it to anyone who needs a good laugh. i give it a definate 5 out of 5 stars

this is the dumbest movie i have ever seen!!!! but it was funny too. it was a stupid funny. but do not let anyone under 14 watch this movie!!!!! its not for kids at all. its like scary move but alot dumber. i rate it a 2 outta 5 stars. it was ok. i am glad i didnt pay money to see it at a theater.

well after looking at other peoples blogs apparently i am the only one who will have like 4 diffrent posts in one day for each thing so i am gonna try putting them all together in one. well first off i was gonna do a crochet along in my group. but only 2 people signed up to do it. so i did it so i could then tell them what to do. but then one fell ill (get well soon Laura!!!) so i emailed the book to the other lady. here is the picture of my completed crochet along:

the book is called pudgy autumn characters. its a sachet really. it smells so good. i didn't think you would be able to really smell it threw the worsted weight yarn but you can. ain't she a cutie. no clue where she will go. i am thinking on the table in the entryway. and since i was in the Halloween theme so much lately i then signed up for a scrunchi exchange. now i wouldn't wear them but Alexia is in love with hair stuff. shes so girly. so for my partner i made a Halloween scrunchi:

i used the beads i bought for the Frankenstein fridgie cause i really don't see any other time of year i would use black beads. this was done with worsted weight yarn. and i an not one of those people who string all the beads on then start crocheting. i put them on the loops as i crochet. any who since the exchange is for 2 scrunchies i made another one too:

this one is very big. the scrunchi stretched as i was crocheting so its not really a tight scrunchi but i will be cute with a sun dress or something i think. i trimmed this in white just to make it pop a little. i finished this while watching a movie (you will read about that in my movie post). i also signed up for a bookmark exchange. now i have a online friend who made me the cutest bookmark ever. and i have been wanting the pattern for over a year. well she finally sent it to me so i made it for this exchange:

now this i JACKED UP!!! i miss counted the stitches at the beginning. so its all shushed at the bottom. but ti was my first time with the pattern and i still think it looks pretty good. very Christmas time.. also very stiff cause I crochet so tight. well then i didn't have nothing to crochet today so i figured i would start on Alexia's doggie afghan. its a Maggie Waldon pattern. here it is as of 6 pm today:

this is my first time posting on here since i joined so i figured i would post something good. i just finished this up today. its for Christmas of course and i was thinking it would be alot bigger then it is. its only 7 inches from the bottom point to the top point. and it should be a doily but i think its to small to be one. but that's OK cause its not for me wither. oh and it was also my first time doing the symbols. ya know what i mean. like they have in the magic crochet magazines. i wonder if that what its actually called?? oh well i am very proud of it. and i think who ever gets it (or the other one awaiting the flower) will be happy to get it.

this week i watched disturbia. it had shia labouf in it. and i loooove him too. not as much as edward norton. but i have watched him since he was little. he is an awsome actor. and this was a good move too. not scary at all. not really suspencful either. i guess cause i saw the window. that movie where the guy broke his leg so he sat in the window and watched people in the apartment complex. so i knew this story already. but still think i am gonna buy it. not sure. i give it 4 outta 5 stars. cause i though it would be scary or something and it wasnt.

this week i watched the illusionist. i loved this movie. but i have love every movie Edward Norton has been in. starting with primal fear. now i figured out this movie as soon as the good stuff got going i knew the end. but there were times i wondered if i was wrong. i am definitely gonna buy this DVD so i can have it for those times the cable is out. and so i can watch it with my hubby when he gets home. i give it 4 out of 4 stars. everyone go watch it!!!!

magic yarn ball

i made this magic yarn ball for someone. for those of you who dont know what a magic yarn ball is....... i got a skein of cotton suga and cream yarn. and i got some little goodies and then wound the yarn around the goodies one at a time so as she use the yarn the little goodies will fall out. like magic. there are about 2 little goodies in this one ball. sorry i didnt take a picture of the goodies before i put them in but maybe she willl take a picture of what she makes and the goodies that come out. well see ya laters

plastic bag holder

OK so i just made this up today. its for work cause they never have any plastic bags there. there is a kitchen and all that but no bags. so i figured if i made a plastic bag holder then people would hold on to them. i got the lady bugs at Micheal's for a dollar for 4. they came of course in the scrapbook section and have the sticky dots on the back but i used the glue gun on it anyway. just to make sure it sticks. well now i am off to do last few rounds of the sections crochet along in a group i am in. hope y'all like the bag holder

OK so i didn't like it. i am not a history buff. i still don't know who she is or what happened to her or why. loved all the dresses and stuff though. and the sets and colors. that was all great. but i don't even remember half the peoples name from this movie. i had to copy and past the part above just to tell what this movie was about. oh wait do know one thing.....she never said "let them eat cake" i think that was on a snack wells commercial. oh well. next week will either be the last mimzy or the illusionist.

now this movie is about 3 kids (kinda) 2 brothers who just cant get along. the older one is angry about his parents divorce and the the older sister (who you don't see much of) sleeps allot. the little brother finds a game in the basement that he wants to play with the older brother but he of course thinks its stupid. so the little one tries to play it aloe. after his first turn they notice the house is now floating in space and they have to finish the game in order to get home. there i a broken robot who wants to kill them and lizard men who want to burn there house and an astronaut they rescue. i started watching this movie while Alexia was in the tub. but when she got out she was so into it she couldn't even go put her jammies on unless i paused it. she really enjoyed it. i myself say if you say jumanji you have seen this. just instead of playing a game and a jungle coming out you play this game and outer space came out. so its good for kids but no really for grown ups. oh and the older brother is the same kid from bridge to teribethia (which i saw last week) it took me so long to figure out where i saw him at. any who that's my review for this week next week will be Marie Antoinette

ok k so this isnt supposed to be a potholder. i got the pattern from a book called holiday afghans. and all of the afghans are made in squares and this is the christmas square. so i made it and made a back and put them together and there you go. now this isnt supposed to be done so it hangs on the corner. i did that on accident. i was so happy that its straight on the corner though. i have no clue how i will make one to match it since it was an accident. we will see though.

this is by the same wonderful woman that designed the snowman door hanger. i just love these. they are the cutest idea ever. however you know i always change something so i only added 20 strands for the beard instead of 40 and unravled the 4 threads that make up the one peice of yarn. and dummy me glued the hat on lopsided. so now the beard looks crooked. but its ok my momma always says thats the kinds stuff that builds character. anywho still really love the pattern and hope everyone makes one for their home!!!!!

i made this for a christmas gift also. it came from the sam book at the snowman one. however this pattern was for the elf they didnt have a santa. so i made the elf. and i changed the last row of the hat to white and left out the mouth. i took a cotton ball and streched it around his face then around the hat and glued it all in place. so its just one cotton ball. and there you go santa. well i am trying to find more santa patterns now. its eaiser to find snowmen the santas. but i will find something and keep you guys posted.

i made this to go with the snowman towel holder. i also have one potholder done to go with it but will post a picture after i make the other one. hopefully that will be tonight and i will post the picture tomorrow. but who knows. i am so tired today i might not touch a hook. now with this pattern you should only have 3 jingle bells on the bottom. but me being me didnt read all of the directions and i put on all 5. 2 were supposed to go on the hat. but i think hes still a cutie pie. i just love him to bits and recomend the pattern to everyone. it was very fast and easy to do. i will probably make another after i do the santa door hanger. well here is the link. thanks tammy for letting me post it!!!!!!

i got this pattern from a book called holiday towel toppers byt maggies crochet. it was a realle easy pattern and i plan to make many more for christmas gifts. well maybe not many more. but at least 2 more. and i will make s few snowmen and stuff like that. but hes cute huh. took about an hour to do. i wes supposed to use googly eyes but didnt have any that fit so i thought the pompoms did ok. oh and apparently his hat is supposed to flop down but i crochet so tight it stands up. im awful i know. oh well i an gonna go hop on the treadmill then i will make another. i will post a picture when they are both done.

P.S. thats not the towel i will be sending with it. i am gonna get christmas ones from the dollar store at christmas time.

well my mom thought that the last shawl was so nice she wanted me to make her one for her avon lunchon next month. this one is bigger but used less yarn. but i think i just got bigger skeins this time. who knows with me. i hope she likes it. its a little stiffer then the last one. but i will put it in the washer and then hang it to losen it up some. then it will go in the mail on saturday. hope she likes it. and since i am reading another pendragon book i will use a signature line from there.

so i was going to get some fake gem stone thingies from

the craft section in walmart and there in the front of the material section was this material. already had the elastic in it and everything. so i picked up a purplu patterned on and a peice fell off. so i picked up the peice and wrapped it around alexia and it was the perfect size for a dress for her. so i figured it was a sign!!! I AM SUPPOSED TO HAVE THIS MATERIAL!!!! so got 3 diffrent patterns. the purple this one and a green one. i will post those pictures later. but all i had to do was one line down the back to sew it closed. took like 2 min. and i used ribbon as the ties. its so cute. she is wearing it to an easter egg hunt today.

i made this tissue box cover for an exchange. its not

exactly like the directions. but i like it. for example the nose was supposed to be done in pink. no way. and there were supposed to be these cheeks too but i left then off all together. and i made him eyelids cause the eyes i have were to big. so it looks a little better. but now i can fit the eyebrows in there. but thats alright. the pattern is from a book called holiday tissue box covers. and hes sittin on a dishcloth. thats not part of the pattern. i hope my partner like it. i think i will get some lucky charms to send with it LOL anywho i gotta finish this afghan for my nephew next. i am almost dont but its gettin on my nerves. well im off for now.....hobby ho!!!!!!!

so most of you know that my kitchens is done in cows. and so i decided to make my own curtains since i have a sewing machine. so i went to hobby lobby to get some cow print material. i needed 9 yards (i have a bay window) but there wasn't enough. the only black and white material they had was checkerboard. so i got that. and i was sitting here and Alexia found this stamp Laura sent me awhile ago in a puffy of a cow. so i had an idea. i would stamp cows int the blocks on the curtains. so i did. and here is my first finished panel. i have 5 left to do. thanks again for that stamp laura!!!!!
